We're a garage door repair company based in San Rafael, covering central Marin seven days a week. We publish our prices, we answer our own phone, and we'd rather turn down a job that's too far away than take it and arrive late.
Why we're set up this way
Two things about this trade bothered us enough to build around them. The first is that almost nobody publishes a price. Out of eleven Bay Area garage door companies we looked at, one had a pricing page. The first question every customer asks is what it costs, and the standard answer is a form.
The second is that the local pages on most of these sites could be about anywhere. Not one of the city pages we checked mentions a neighborhood, a ZIP, a street or anything about the housing. The age of a town's housing changes what goes wrong on its doors and what it costs to put right, so as we build real local history here, our area pages will carry the actual figures rather than filler.

San Rafael, Novato, Mill Valley, San Anselmo, Fairfax, Larkspur and Corte Madera. Elsewhere in Marin, call and we'll give you a straight answer. We'd rather decline a job than promise an arrival window we can't hold.
The name
Chen is the registered name of the business. It's short, it's easy to say and easy to spell, and that matters in an area where a lot of people are speaking English as a second language. There's no story attached to it beyond that.
