Same-day garage door repair
If a door has failed with a car shut inside, say that when you call and we'll book you first. Calls before noon are the ones we can most reliably reach the same day, and we'll tell you honestly on the phone what we can hold rather than after.
What to tell us on the phone
Whether a vehicle is trapped. Whether the door is stuck open, which is a security problem, or stuck closed. What you heard when it failed, because a bang almost always means a spring and that tells us what to bring.
Your cross streets. In Marin the hill roads change an arrival estimate more than the mileage does, so knowing exactly where you are matters.
What not to do while you wait
Don't keep pressing the button. Running the opener against a broken spring, a snapped cable or a door that's off its track is what turns one repair into two or three.
If the door is off track or hanging crooked, leave it exactly where it is.
Drive times, honestly
We quote the arrival window on the phone rather than printing minutes here, because we've just moved our base to San Rafael and we'd rather give you a number we can hit than one that looks good on a page. When we say a window, we mean it.
Where we do this work
San Rafael, Novato, Mill Valley, San Anselmo, Fairfax, Larkspur, Corte Madera. That list is the honest one; where the drive is long we city, not the whole of it.
Questions we get asked
Do you charge more for a same-day call?
No. The diagnostic visit is $39 whenever you book it, and it comes off the bill when you go ahead with the repair.
The door is stuck open and I need to leave the house.
Tell us that on the phone. An open door is a security problem, and getting it closed safely is usually a faster job than the full repair.
